Barlinek Group of Poland is one of the world’s largest producers of natural, wooden floor panels, and is a major flooring brand in Europe. Barlinek Investment, part of the Barlinek group, which is responsible for production has been cooperating with Becker Acroma Polska, and values the professionalism and high quality of Becker Acroma products and services.
A few years ago Barlinek launched a project to modernize the lacquering line of its three-layer panel factory in Poland and to replace its existing polyurethane lacquers with UV products. Barlinek forecast a production capacity of around 2,000,000 m2 annually. Our experts at the UV laboratory at the Becker Acroma Technical Centre in Märsta, Sweden developed the required technology and produced the first standard panels.
Commitment and professionalism
Unfortunately, after testing our technology, no contract was signed with the customer. Nevertheless, we were in constant touch with Barlinek, visiting the factory and offering our advice and help with technical problems. This commitment paid off and we were asked by Barlinek to participate in a comprehensive (100,000m2) lacquering test; giving us the chance to present our new technology, skills and capabilities.
Following stringent testing, Becker Acroma was chosen as one of three lacquer suppliers to Barlinek. Since then, Becker Acroma has been supplying two of the three existing Barlinek Investment lacquering lines and we are now partnering Barlinek at its new lacquering line project in Winnica, Ukraine. We have also been chosen as lacquer supplier to this factory.
